A total of 157 films have been distributed in Japan from January to June this year. Top 3 countries were: U.S.A (77); France (16); Korea (South) (14). TOP 3 distributors were: Warner Bros. Pictures Japan (12); Walt Disney Studios Japan (9); GAGA CORPORATION (8).

Motion Picture Corporation of America (“MPCA”) has concluded the option purchase agreement for remake of “Departures”, the Academy Award winning film at 2009 Oscars. The founder of MPCA, Mr. Brad Krevoy participated in TIFFCOM2008 as one of panelists at Entertainment Remake Business Symposium. The deal-starter was the market screening at TIFFCOM2008.
